Connect to Integrations/Services

Connect your Stripe account so you can begin accepting payments, connect a Google calendar so it will sync with your Reservable Resources calendar, and connect to your Mailchimp account so you can keep your member email list up-to-date.

  • From the dashboard, navigate to Settings > Integrations
  • Connect to these services:
    • Stripe is the payment processor that Proximity uses to collect payment on your behalf.
      • Members may pay with a credit card, ACH (consider payment processing time), or offline payments (not through Stripe).
      • If a payment fails, the system will automatically attempt payment again the following day. If it fails the following day, the system will try again in 3 days. If that fails, the member’s Membership will be reset to the Community Member type and they will lose access to the building and reservable resources, and you will be notified by email.
    • Google: Sync your Reservable Resource reservations to your Google Calendar for easy management.
    • Mailchimp: An email marketing platform that allows you to easily target and email members.
      • When your Mailchimp account is connected to Proximity, your new members’ emails will go into your Mailchimp account and on the list you have selected.
  • Click on Connect for each service. You’ll be asked to log in or create an account.
  • Please note that a Stripe account needs to be connected in order for your space to be moved out of Trial Mode and to be set up to receive payments from members.

In the past we offered a way for you to invite members to join your Slack workspace through the Proximity platform. Unfortunately, Slack has removed the ability to generate the authentication token necessary to make this integration work.

If you already have the integration, it is not going away—at least not yet. Hopefully Slack will leave the required API intact for the future.

However, if you do not already have a Slack Legacy Token plugged into the Proximity system, you will no longer be able to generate one with Slack and therefore cannot add the token to Proximity.

So far, Slack has not announced a replacement for this integration, but if one surfaces, we will look into bringing this feature back in the future.
