Sense
Proximity Sense, the ultimate solution for real-time office occupancy and air quality monitoring. Designed to seamlessly integrate with the Proximity Platform, Proximity Sense offers unparalleled insights and control over your environment. To purchase a device, navigate to the "Order" page within your Proximity site.
Connect Sense to Your WiFi Network
If you device has been pre-provisoined, you can skip to the next step.
Important Considerations:
- 2.4GHz WiFi Only: Sense devices are compatible exclusively with 2.4GHz WiFi networks. 5GHz networks are not supported.
- WebBluetooth Compatibility: Configuration requires a web browser that supports WebBluetooth, such as Google Chrome.
Configuration Steps:
- Access the Configuration Page:
- Navigate to your Proximity site.
- Append /manage/configure-wiegand-tap to the end of the URL. (e.g. space.company.com/manage/configure-wiegand-tap)
- Note: Ensure you are using a WebBluetooth-compatible browser (e.g. Google Chrome).
- Initiate Device Discovery:
- Connect your Sense device to a power source. If already connected, disconnect and reconnect it.
- Immediately click "Start Scanning" on the configuration page.
- Note: The device is discoverable for 30 seconds after power connection.
- Select Your Device:
- Once your Sense device appears in the list, select it.
- Save Configuration and Reboot:
- Click "Save."
- Allow the device to reboot.
- Repeat steps 2-4 for any additional Sense devices.
Captive Portal Networks:
- If your network utilizes a captive portal, you must whitelist the MAC address of each Sense device.
- You can locate the MAC (ID) addresses by navigating to Remote Devices > Sense within your Proximity site.
Attach Sense to a Resource (or Edit)
- From the Proximity dashboard, navigate to Remote Devices > Sense
- Select the device you wish to associate from the list.
- Using the Attached Resources dropdown, select the resource. If you do not see the resource, you will need to first add it.
