Troubleshooting
1) Display Favorite Keys on Your Home Screen
Quickly access your most-used keys by adding them to your Home screen in Proximity Mobile.
- Navigate to My Keys
- To add a key to your Home screen: Tap the star icon (☆) next to the door name. The star will fill in (★), and the key will appear on your Homescreen.
- To remove a key from your Home screen: Tap the filled star icon (★) next to the door name. The star will become an outline (☆), and the key will be removed from your Home screen.
2) Use Punch
There are two areas to use a Punch to access your keys in Proximity Mobile:
- Upon launch, a Use Punch button will be displayed above the favorite keys.
- Via My Keys
- Navigate to My Keys
- Tap "Use Punch" and the punch pass to redeem
- Keys will be displayed
3) Make a Reservation
Follow these steps to book a resource in Proximity Mobile:
- Navigate to Reservations
- Find and tap the resource you wish to reserve.
- Tap "See Availability".
- Adjust the time picker by tapping and dragging to select your desired reservation duration.
- Tap "Continue" once you've set the time.
- Fill in any required fields.
- Tap "Complete Reservation" to finalize your booking.
4) Switching Spaces or Buildings
If you have access to multiple spaces or buildings, follow these steps to switch between them in Proximity Mobile:
- Tap the Menu icon (☰ or 3-line "hamburger" icon).
- Tap the current space/building name (it will appear as a drop-down).
- Find and select the desired space or building from the list.
5) Log Out
To log out of your account in Proximity Mobile:
- Tap the Menu icon (☰ or 3-line "hamburger" icon).
- Tap Settings (look for the gear icon ⚙).
- Select "Log Out" at the bottom of the Settings screen.
Note: the app version number is displayed in this section, should you require it
Other Functions
1)View / Cancel Upcoming Reservations
There are two areas to view Upcoming Reservations:
- From the the Home page, look for the Upcoming Reservations section - keep in mind these are only your reservations.
- From the All Reservations page
- Tap the Menu icon (☰ or 3-line "hamburger" icon).
- Tap the All Reservations
- You will only be able to view details for a reservations of which you are an organizer of.
- If you are are a Manager or Owner, you will have reservation details including the organizer, wifi information, and the ability to cancel.
Troubleshooting
Before proceeding, always start by checking for app updates. This can often resolve unexpected behavior.
iOS Users: Check the Apple App Store
Android Users: Check the Google Play Store
1)No Keys Were Found (Keys Not Showing)
Keys Not Showing in Proximity Mobile? Try These Steps:
- Get Closer to the Door: Ensure you're within the required range for the keys to activate.
- Check Internet Connection: Verify that your device has a stable internet connection. If you're experiencing issues with a weak Wi-Fi signal, try switching to cellular data.
- Confirm Your Access Hours: Double-check that you're trying to use the keys during your authorized access times.
- Allow Location Access:
- The app requires Location permission to display keys. Please enable it in your device settings.
- An error stating, "Error: You must grant permission to view your location to access keys," indicates this permission is missing.
If the problem continues, contact management and try accessing your keys through the web by adding /letmein to your space's URL (for example: members.coworkingspace.com/letmein). If web access also fails, contact management to confirm your key permissions.
